Electrical Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

Scope/Purpose of the PositionThe Maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the production equipment by using quick in-depth troubleshooting and preventive maintenance while maintaining the highest safety, quality, GMP standards. Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions o Properly troubleshoot and repair all facilities and production equipment on site o Make all necessary machinery and equipment adjustments o Perform all tasks and duties necessary for efficient start-ups, daily operation, change-over, and shut-downs o Participate or complete the installation and training on new machinery o Perform preventative and repair equipment on production equipment, heating and cooling systems, ingredients handling systems and plumbing systems; also, office and plant facilities o Utilize the CMMS (Manager Plus) system for creating, updating, and completing workorders o Start machines and equipment to test operation during and following repair o Record preventative maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner o Complete work orders as required and respond to all maintenance calls in a timely manner o Work with other departments on root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to help drive efficiency and yield o Work directly with machine operators and production supervisors to resolve mechanical issues that arise during shifts/production o Identify and communicate any additional preventative maintenance required on machinery as needed o Inventory spare parts and report usage; assist in determining min/max amounts, report parts needed to be ordered / re-order to Maintenance Inventory Specialist o Maintain neat and orderly work area and properly maintain tools o Performing sanitary welding on equipment and food processing piping when trained to do so o Adhere to safety policies and procedures and all OSHA requirements o Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) o Assist in training production operators on proper equipment operation o Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends o Learn or can read and interpret electrical schematics to properly troubleshoot equipmentRequirements:
Job Qualification Requirements o High school diploma or equivalent o Experience with industrial electricity, automation control, and mechanical repairs required o Electrical and Mechanical technology certification a pus or 2-3 years of industrial maintenance work experience in lieu of certification in a packaging or manufacturing environment. o Experience in food processing industry is a plus o Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) to look up part location/availability on computer using CMMS platforms o Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills o Ability to communicate with production operators and other maintenance technicians to be able to explain mechanical processes and root causes o Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly o Good problem-solving skills and result-oriented o Ability to lead by example using Personal Protective Equipment, abide to assigned work schedule, etc. o Ability to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery, and chemicals o Ability to work in a team environment, assisting your teammates when neededWeekend Schedule:
